Widescreen iPod video is next?
TUAW is on
the case, letting us know that the latest Apple rumor is a 3.5"
touchscreen-enabled media player. The mockup pictured here is from Rainy Day
Magazine. We've been waiting for a widescreen video iPod for a while, but TUAW doesn't expect it till the end of
the year if at all. I just want to know if they'll let me download 720p versions of Lost from iTMS.

I'm curious now, does the psp support 720p?

Nope the UMD disks are the highest and they only support 480-by-272. But considering the screen is only 3.5 inches the pixels per inch is actually higher than a 42" Plasma.

If I was to design a device like this, which would be all screen in the front, i would invert the clickwheel on the back. using your middle - or pointing finger, it should be ok to control it, the click button could be on the side, where you put your thumb. that way, you won't have to touch the screen

Ok the shading is pretty bad, the screen looks horrible, and I doubt Apple if they make an iPod video would make it look like that. They are great with design. That is not.

If that is in fact the design, that seems cool, but not very practical. I'd be rather difficult to keep the screen clean or protected at all without blocking the touch wheel with some sort of protective screen.
