However with fast motion the number of "picture events" per second is what determines the smoothness of the motion. If I am looking at two plasma tv's which one would I choose? 1024x1024 or 1024x768p. I read the above information and called the "technical" support line at LG USA. The tech told me that for it to be considered "HD" the only criteria that had to me meet was the 720p horizontal lines. He further said that the vertical resolution was not as important.
